    I have swayback and anterior pelvic tilt at the same time. I don’t know what excersizes to do and don’t really see anything online for this. I had really bad anterior pelvic tilt for mostly my whole life. Then it slowly started to turn into sway back. My knees lock, and my pelvis tucks completely under. My hips are super ahead of my body and I have a slight reversal of cervical lordosis that I feel is getting worse. If you need a emailed picture for reference please let me know

    Yes, and how does this improve sciatica physically? Chiropractors say yes to neurological repatterining, and 'trick' the body with force application to 'let go' is this correct?

      Hi! not at all "force application", in fact, force can only reinforce your habitual patterns. We've been moving our bodies habitually in daily activities, and habitual movement patterns may have been serving you well enough for many years until they don't, and that's when they show up as symptoms (pain, tingling, discomfort, tension, etc) in your physical body. People assume they haven't had any problems until they become aware of symptoms, but the truth is that their problem(s) didn't just happen recently. Unfortunately, our nervous system continues to rely on what it knows (habitual patterns). My teaching focuses on retraining habitual movement patterns, meaning retraining the nervous system, and integrating new patterns into daily activities. Your habitual movement patterns show up in all movements. How do you carry your weight while sitting and standing and walking, bending, lifting, etc? Pretty much the same way in all activities, so your brain uses the same neural pathways, which accompany the same/similar responses. Exploring new ways of moving your body means creating new neural pathways in your nervous system. This is not a technique. This is a practice.

      @@TaroIwamoto Yes, yet I was talking about the way chiropractors adjust. Through say their drop tables, affecting the nervous system. They can correct scoliosis directly to an extent, yet this has to be enforced through the lifestyle, as you promote. Only a trained corrective chiropractor can do not the common ones. I was asking about your modality specifically, compared to the above.

    Hi there, I’m just now seeing this video and trying out this exercise. I have been in such a mess with this back! I worked out for 30 years and was in good shape. Then all of a sudden one day sciatic pain kicked in and it never left. I was misdiagnosed and told I needed it fusion L4, L5 S1.. I did everything I could try to get better for the next year, but only got worse so I gave into having surgery. I Didn’t know I was misdiagnosed, but after that surgery, I only got worse and worse and worse for the next 14 years. Ultimately, I became bedridden for a full 10 months I could not sit, walk or stand. I definitely have scoliosis and it was mild back then. I never had pain from it or any problem that I was aware of. so it turns out that the problem the whole time was actually my SI joint on the left side, which is my tight side and weak glutes. Finally, I was properly diagnosed and believe me I was seeking out answers everywhere nonstop I had seen 30 different physical therapists over that time. Then it was actually a neurologist who told me she wanted to get to the bottom of this for me and find the pain generator. No one else had ever done that. I was told that SI joint doesn’t move enough to cause pain by a young doctor physical therapy. By that time, my SI joint was so messed up. I went ahead and had it fused because there’s no way it was gonna stay in place and I tried even prolotherapy you name it. I tried it. I went broke trying everything so now I’m trying your method here and it seems very interesting ! Thanks for being so helpful. My situation now is that I am so out of shape and the muscles are so out of balance that when I walk my left glutes don’t seem to work and so instead, the QL muscle and whatever other muscles are, on the left side of the lower back are kicking in instead of the glutes and tightening up and spasming horribly so I can’t walk Very much and I can’t work out. It’s been very frustrating! I have come close to giving up many times but I’m still here…. The SI joint fusion was a success and I was able to get out of the bed and walk and do pretty well but still very limited and can’t work out and still somewhat frustrated. I sure would love to have my life back. I couldn’t work for 15 years but now I have a UA-cam channel.❤

    WOAAHH!!! This mobilized and brought relief to my SI joint jam/pain that has been stuck on the left side... !!! I was sitting on a softer couch surface then moved to a firm chair.. harder to lift left leg than right. Are you twisting your torso as you lift your leg? Thank you.

    You are the only one who helped me. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. <3 Six months ago, I went to the emergency room because I thought I was having a heart attack. I had chest pains and thought it was my heart, but it wasn’t. It was a fake chest pain caused by the nerves of the curve of my spine, which is why I had heavy chest pain. I tried using many exercise techniques from UA-cam, but they didn’t help at all. I kept getting shortness of breath, fatigue, nausea, chest discomfort, and left shoulder pain. At any moment, I felt my heart would stop because the rate was sometimes fast, going up to 104 to 114 while idle. I still have doubts about a cardiac issue, but it’s always not the case. It’s just stress when I get the symptoms, all because of the curve of my spine ("scoliosis"). I also have a posture problem and a bit of lordosis too. Then I saw your video. It's a magic technique. Once I did the movement you showed, just by sitting in a chair and doing the exercises, I felt my chest open up, I could breathe better, and the nerve pain reduced little by little.

    When you say roll the pelvis is that the same as tucking the tailbone?

      rolling pelvis upward = tailbone lifts, lumbar spine rounds/flexes. rolling pelvis downward = tailbone moves into the floor, lumbar spine arches/extends :)

    The scoliosis videos have been serious game changers for me. Plus butyeko breathing, but it’s likely that butyeko would have been harder to grasp had I not learned enough ease to breathe softer than I was breathing if I hadn’t done Feldenkrais! Eternally saying thank u taro
